Melia Dubai Hotel

Introduction: A well-kept secret in the heart of the city, Meliá Dubai is the first 5 star Spanish hotel in the Middle East. Designed by a Milan based architect, the hotel has a fresh, modern air geared to make your stay truly exceptional. It is cutting edge in style and located in one of the most important destinations in the world. Expect visually entertaining interiors with contemporary art pieces from all over the world and 164 stunningly decorated rooms & suites, state-of-the-art meeting space and business facilities, reflecting the urban glamor of this flourishing metropolis.

Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.

Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.

My arrival experience: Fast check-in before being escorted to the room.
What about the food: Great Indian vegetarian food at their Indian restaurant, Signature by Sanjeev Kapoor. Certainly some of the better Indian food I've had in my travels. The only thing I didn't like was the Indian ice cream.
What about the service: Friendly service in all areas of the hotel. No issues. The staff at Signature by Sanjeev are especially great.
What about the rooms: Beautiful rooms with comfortable beds, flat screen TVs, freestanding bathtubs and rain showers.
Number of rooms: 164.
Website: www.melia.com
Type of property: City hotel.
Location: Dubai.
Facilities: Spa, pool, gym and business/meeting facilities.
Complimentary internet: Yes and fast.
My overall impression: Great experience. An interesting experience in Dubai. A bit different from your typical chain hotel.
