Above information is how the hotel presents itself on their website.
Below is my experience based on a one-night stay at the property.
My Arrival experience: My room was not ready in the morning, but I had complimentary internet and enjoyed the resorts excellent facilities.
What I loved: The beautiful contemporary design and excellent facilities.
What about the food: The breakfast buffet is crowded with people. I am picky with food and especially breakfast. I was disappointed with the selection and quality of food.
What about the service: Professional well-trained front desk staff, but other areas of the hotel such as the spa could be improved.
What about the rooms: Beautiful rooms with freestanding bathtubs and rainshowers. The beds are comfortable, but could be more soft. The lobby is beautiful, but has a strong unplesant smell of perfume. The rooms also have working desks, flatscreen Tv's and balconies with beautiful views.
Number of rooms: 446.
Website: grandjumeirah.habtoorhotels.com
Type of property: City resort.
Location: Dubai.
Facilities: Spa, swimming pool, gym and meeting facilities. There is also a business center, but it's chargeable to just use a computer to surf the web which I find unacceptable. The resort is definitely worth its 5 stars in terms of facilities and none of the facilities feels out-dated.
Complimentary internet: No, only for Marriott Rewards members. You can join this loyalty club for free.
Affiliations: Autograph Collection.
My overall impression: Great experience.
